If you've been following along on instagram, you may know that I arrived in Banff on Monday! Ever since I saw Amber Fillerup's photos from Banff a loooong time ago, it has been on my travel bucket list. From photos it looks like one of the prettiest places in the world, but even the photos can't do it justice! Yesterday we drove out to Moraine Lake - about an hour drive from Banff - to witness the turquoise waters we had heard everyone talk about. It is so pretty in person - the lake gets its startling blue color from the minerals in the water that come down from the surrounding mountains. We got there really early in the morning and it was FREEZING - this fleece vest kept me pretty warm but I ended up wishing I had brought a thicker jacket!
