Last week while we were staying in Positano, we had the coolest experience! Hotel Poseidon Positano offered to let us borrow their Beetle and drive around the Amalfi Coast (side note - all guests of their hotel have access to the Beetle!). You have to be somewhat of a thrill seeker to drive along the coast, since the road itself narrows steadily from Sorrento; it is effectively single lane and one-way, and sometimes you feel like you're hanging off the side of a cliff. There were moments when we would almost miss hitting another car, bus or bike by a few centimeters (this is common!). However, when you look out the window, your breath is taken away by the views of sparkling blue water, sailboats and the coastal towns in the distance. It's an experience everyone needs just once in their life!
I chose to wear this scalloped dress to cruise around in the Beetle because it looked so retro to me! This head scarf came in handy to block the wind, and it's only $30 - it looks cute with a lot of outfits (including bathing suits). I've also had a lot of questions about my Louis Vuitton backpack - it is called the Sperone backpack. I've been wearing it daily because we walk for hours around town and have gone on a few hiking trips - t's really comfortable to wear, fits everything I need (including my huge blog camera) and it locks securely so you don't have to worry about pickpocketers.
