Hilton Head Recap

This past weekend I took a trip to Hilton Head Island for the RBC Golf Tournament. I had been to HHI once before (for a very short trip), so I was excited to have more time this weekend to explore all that the island has to offer. It is beautiful and incredibly peaceful place - and everywhere you go there is lush greenery and Spanish moss. If you or your family are looking for vacation spots… HHI is where it's at!

I drove in on Saturday and immediately met up with the three other (awesome!) bloggers on the trip, Grace, Jessica and Hallie at the restaurant Hudson's On the Docks. The food was AMAZING, even for a non-seafood lover like me. The restaurant specializes in soft-shell crab and they even showed us all the crabs that they cook fresh every night (poor things!).

It was warm and breezy out so we all sat outside on the dock to eat - look at that amazing view! We even saw dolphins swim by while we were eating...

The next day it was forecasted to rain all day, but the sun was shining bright in the morning so I threw on this one piece and tried to catch some rays for about an hour!

one piece swimsuit (I wear a size 6, which is the equivalent of a XS/S) // similar tortoise sunglasses
turquoise tassel earrings // ripped denim shorts (sold out), same brand here

Pretty soon it was time to head to the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament. I've been to a few golf tournaments and this one really stands out because it's right next to the water - all of the boats come and park right next to the golf course! Below is myself and Miss SC watching the game. We were mainly interested in watching Spieth play. For those of you who don't know, Jordan Spieth won the Masters a few weeks ago and he is also a cutie pie! (He has a girlfriend though, DARN!)

This is Jordan Spieth below :) I had to be super creepy to get this picture!

Congrats to Jim Furyk, the winner of the RBC Heritage Tournament, below.

Here's what I wore later in the afternoon to explore the island:

Rebecca Minkoff mini handbag (30% off with code FRNFAM! choose the "electric pink" color)
Kendra Scott "rayne" necklace // Kendra Scott bangles // David Yurman bracelet

And what I wore to dinner that night… if you are a seafood lover, HHI has tons of amazing seafood restaurants. This particular night I was really craving Mexican food though so we went to Aunt Chilada's - some of the best queso and grilled chicken I've ever had!

cold shoulder dress // Valentino clutch // Tory Burch wedges // David Yurman bracelet

Oh and just look at the sunset when we got back that night - both of these photos have not been edited at all. It was honestly breathtaking.

The next morning, we packed up our bags and prepared to leave the island - but not before taking one last stop at a place that I've heard so much about… the Salty Dog Cafe! I ordered a chili cheese dog and then of course had to get birthday cake ice cream at the Salty Dog Creamery. (Yes, I realize I made poor eating decisions on this trip, but it's vacation right?!)

tassel trim dress, similar style here // straw bag // Ray-bans // Kendra Scott earrings

BEST birthday cake ice cream ever. *Insert heart eyes emoji here*

Overall, the trip was awesome. I wish that it had been sunnier out while we were there (it rained on and off most of Sunday), but HHI is truly an awesome place with even nicer people.

If you have any HHI recommendations I'd love to hear them! Happy Wednesday everyone!
